Imagine a new player acquiring full dragon for the first time (or whatever personal goal they might've spent days working towards), and they post it here at 3am when they finally achieved it, and they wake up the next day to see their post at 0 upvotes, 15% positive rating, with 600+ views. Now I'm not saying you have to upvote anyway, I'm saying that downvoting just because you have the option to, is annoying and your actions are negatively reflecting our community. Posts either have a large sum of upvotes, or they're sitting a 0 with a 15% positive rating, while there are 20 or so highly upvoted posts, and dozens on top of dozens of posts negatively voted (with no reason warranting it).įrom simple questions from new players who want a head-start, to those wondering about which weapon might be better over another, to legitimately well thought out suggestions to even bug reports and wholesome posts, regardless of reason nor topic, the posts are downvoted into oblivion.Īnd quite honestly it's very annoying to see even players who have something good to post about, such as posting their personal achieved goals they spent Years working for, etc., get downvoted to 15% positive just because of the straight toxicity of this Reddit. I've known /Runescape to be littered with elitists and toxic personalities that somehow haven't a single thing to agree upon with another human, but the margins on this Reddit are outstanding. Something that's bothered me for months is that I see more negatively voted posts on this Reddit than any other Reddit I've ever visited. I've been a Runescape player since mid-2005, and to this day don't miss a day of playing, while am also active on this Reddit for hours through-out the day (too much free time at the job~).
